Is the state that arrived still fit for continued computation?

Every link between quantum machines raises that question.

Today there is no shared way to answer it.

The problem

Every leading route to large-scale quantum computing is modular, and a modular machine is only as good as its links. The hardware that makes those links is built one-off, for one kind of machine at a time.

The ambition

We are building the acceptance layer for quantum interconnects. It starts with a standard that decides whether a state that crossed a link is still fit for use. The standard has to hold for every kind of machine: neutral atoms, trapped ions, superconducting circuits. We work with hardware specialists on what sits beneath it.

The posture

The standard is open and vendor-neutral.
